Position: Scrum Master (Business Technology Division)

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role. Proven track record of successfully leading Agile/Scrum teams.

Experience in coaching and mentoring team members in Agile practices.

Job Validity: 90 days

Job Description:

  • Facilitate the Scrum process, ensuring adherence to Scrum theory, practices, and rules.
  • Guide and coach the Scrum team on self-organization and cross-functionality.
  • Organize and lead Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives).
  • Assist the Product Owner in managing the Product Backlog and ensuring its readiness.
  • Shield the team from external interference to maintain focus during the Sprint.
  • Collaborate with stakeholdersto address impediments and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Promote Agile principles and values within the organization.
  • Foster innovation and a continuous improvement mindset within the team.
  • Resolve conflicts within the team and encourage open communication.
  • Serve as a change agent to drive adoption of Agile methodologies.
  • Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
  • Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology preferably at a post-graduate level
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
  • Excellent knowledge of software development processes and methodologies.
  • English: Advanced & Arabic is preferred.
  • Very good knowledge of banking systems, applications and banking operations.

Key Responsibility:

  • Act as a servant leader, guiding the team to achieve their Sprint goals.
  • Monitor and track team progress, ensuring the timely completion of tasks.
  • Remove impediments and roadblocksto maintain team productivity.
  • Assist in defining and refining user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Help the team maintain a focus on the Sprint goals and ensure adherence to time frames.
  • Foster an environment for effective communication and collaboration within the team.
  • Implement metrics to evaluate team performance and enhance productivity.
  • Conduct regular retrospectivesto identify areas for improvement.
  • Coach team members in Agile practices and ensure best practices are followed.
  • Encourage a culture of adaptability and resilience in response to change

Reporting:

  • Assists in the preparation of timely and accurate reports of Bank to meet department requirements, policies and standards
  • Communicate team progress and impediments to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Generate and maintain Agile and Scrum metrics and reports.
  • Provide transparency on team performance and the status of deliverables.
  • Ensure that information radiators (task boards, burn-down charts, etc.) are up to date and accessible.
